Here you'll find what Rozetka charges, which documents you get, how the money from your customers reaches you and which taxes apply.
Commission
The commission is calculated as a percentage of the price at which the customer buys your product. For example, if the rate is 10% and the product sells for UAH 100, the commission is UAH 10. The rate depends on the product category and on the average selling price (ASP). You'll find all rates in the commission table attached to your contract.
Yes. You receive the full commission table with your contract, so you can check the rate for any category before you list a product. After each sale, you can also see the commission rate applied to that order in your seller account.
The ASP is based on the selling price, the price at which the customer buys your product. It is the same price the commission is calculated from.
Yes. If an order is returned, Rozetka deducts the commission for it from your next monthly invoice, whether the customer paid in advance or on delivery. With prepayment, the payment provider also gives back its fee for that payment.
From Rozetka, only the technical access fee of EUR 8.33 per month. There is no joining fee and no subscription.
Some other costs don't come from Rozetka. If you accept prepayment, the payment provider deducts its fee from each payment. It also charges EUR 20 for handling a chargeback, which happens when a customer disputes a card payment through their bank. Delivery costs depend on your agreement with your carrier.
Billing & settlement documents
Once a month, after the end of the month. We don't deduct anything from your customers' payments: the commission and the access fee are invoiced separately, and you pay the invoice by bank transfer within 10 business days.
You get two documents from us every month, both by e-mail.
First, within 5 business days after the end of the month, a sales report showing your orders, the commission rates and the amount due. Please check it. If something doesn't add up, let us know within 5 business days; if we don't hear from you, the report counts as accepted.
Then an invoice in EUR based on that report. Companies registered in Poland get it with Polish VAT, companies from other EU countries without VAT (reverse charge).
If you accept prepayment, your payouts and the exchange rates applied to them are shown in your payment provider account.
Payouts & currency
No. The customer pays in hryvnias, but you receive the money in EUR or USD on your own bank account in the EU.
The payment provider accepts the customer's online payment in Ukraine and transfers the money to your account in the EU. Without it, you could only sell with cash on delivery.
Because it moves money across borders, the payment provider is regulated and has to verify your company first (KYC). We take care of the process, and you only need to collect the documents. The KYC rules are set by financial regulators, so neither we nor the payment provider can skip or shorten any of the steps. It usually takes a few weeks, sometimes up to a quarter.
In EUR or USD, to your company's bank account. It's the account you confirm with the documents when signing the contract.
With prepayment, payouts are automatic. Once your balance with the payment provider reaches EUR 100, the money is sent to your bank account according to the payout schedule, for example daily. You don't need to request or confirm anything.
With cash on delivery, the carrier pays you according to your contract with them.
With prepayment, the payment provider charges a fee on each transaction: currently 2.8% for payouts in USD and 2.9% for payouts in EUR, whatever card the customer uses. There is no separate conversion fee. The exchange rate is set by the payment provider, and after each payout you can see the rate applied in your payment provider account. No fee is charged on refunds.
Taxes
No. You sell from the EU, and the sale takes place in the EU. Customs clearance in Ukraine is done in the customer's name or by your carrier or customs broker, so you don't need a tax registration or a representative in Ukraine.
Ukrainian VAT is charged at import, not on your sale. Right now, parcels up to EUR 150 are free of import VAT. For more expensive parcels, 20% VAT is charged on the part of the value above EUR 150, together with 10% customs duty.
On your side, a sale from the EU to Ukraine counts as export, which is generally zero-rated for VAT in EU countries. You need proof that the goods have left the EU, for example an export declaration or carrier documents. Check the details for your country with your tax advisor.
Ukraine is working on new rules for low-value parcels, but they are not in force yet.
Rozetka EU is a Polish company. If your company is registered in Poland, Polish VAT is added to the invoice. If it is registered in another EU country, the invoice comes without VAT and is marked "reverse charge". This means you account for the VAT on our fee in your own VAT return, as you do with other services bought from EU companies.
The customer. Parcels up to EUR 150 are currently free of import VAT and customs duty. For more expensive parcels, the customer pays the import charges: 20% VAT and 10% duty on the part of the value above EUR 150.
Customer payment methods
Yes. The customer pays the carrier when picking up the parcel, and the carrier transfers the money to you, as set out in your contract with them. It's the quickest way to start, because you don't need to wait for the payment provider's verification.
The downside is that many more parcels are not collected or are sent back, and the money reaches you later.
We recommend it. Customers who have already paid are far more likely to collect their parcels, and you get your money sooner. Keep in mind that your store works with one payment method at a time, so you choose either prepayment or cash on delivery.
